Neuro-behavioral performance evaluation for solvent exposure among aircraft painters

Abstract

Computer administered testing system(SPES: Swedish Performance Evaluation System) for assessing the functional consequences of pain and solvent exposure of 17 aircraft painters and 17 controls in the Depot of Mainten
ance Engineering, Air Force have
been
conducted.
The neurotoix symptom scores of painters were slightly higher than control's. the result of simple reaction time test of painters was significantly longer, but the finger tapping speed was higher than those of control.
The computer administered test system was effective in this filed based investigation involving multiple, geographically dispered work sites.
